I’ve always loved being creative. I spend hours crafting and making hand-made gifts and cards for my family and friends. Decorating at home – inside the house and outside – is one of my favorite activities. I find inspiration online, while traveling, reading, day-dreaming and when I spend time outside.
After graduating from college, I started my career at a company’s IT department and took my first steps in designing its intranet and internet website. Later on, I found plenty of opportunities to be creative as a marketing coordinator for the

same company. Making something look great and appealing so that the design supports communicating a message has always been important to me. When studying PR and Journalism, I created my first online portfolio based on a WordPress template. I had fun using a content management system and soon built websites for other associations I belonged to.
When asked to create a company newsletter and event posters at work, I realized that standard Microsoft products limited me in what I wanted to achieve and create. That’s when I decided to venture out into the world of graphic design and to go back to school. Specs Howard School of Media Arts and its 12 months graphic design program offered what I was looking for. The fact that the program combines theory and practice and that students are trained in using Adobe products appealed to me.
Since I have started studying graphic design, I found many great resources, tutorials and information about design related topics online. With this blog, I want to share what I find along the way and to inspire the like-minded.
