Michiganders like to claim that when living in the Mitten, you can experience all four seasons in just one week. This week that statement is at least half true. While we had spring-like temperatures at the end of February with birds singing and sunny, blue skies, winter came back with snow and slush on March 1st, the the start of meteorological spring. Oh, the irony! Stuck here in the snow and not able to fly south for a quick escape to Florida, I am longing for spring. That longing and impatience triggered the urgent need to brighten both my mood and our front door. Thank goodness for craft stores that are always a couple of weeks ahead with the next season’s craft supplies. Equipped with green moss, pink flowers, succulents and my glue gun, I got to work and am quite happy with the final product. The spring wreath will remind me every day I come home that the colorful season is just around the corner.
